Chris Smith
Executive Director

Chris joined the Grace Community Church staff in 1989 opening Discovery Kingdom Child Development Center. In January of 2004 Grace Kidz World was opened with Chris serving as the Director. She has almost 25 years experience in the Child Care industry and holds a B.A. degree in Christian Education. Previously to joining the Grace Staff, Chris and her husband owned their own child care centers. She is an excellent contact for both teaching and parenting resources. Chris is a member of the National Association of of Childcare Professionals, NACCP, as well as involved with other networking groups in the child care field. Her commitment to her faith and love for children is seen daily in the interaction with the children, parents and staff.

LaTasha Muckelroy
Director

LaTasha joined the Kidz World staff in January 2009. LaTasha has been working in early childhood education for 15 years. Previously to joining Kidz World, she partnered with her mother and owned several child care centers. Her pleasant and caring attitude make her a wonderful member of the administrative team. She assists the executive director in managing daily operations as well as handles most administrative tasks for the center.

Becky Thac
Assistant Director

Becky comes to the Kidz World with over five years experience in early childhood education. Becky has been with Kidz World since they opened in 2004. Becky assists the director by scheduling staff and with parent communication. Becky holds a director's credential with Houston Child Care Council. Her commitment to excellence in childcare is demonstrated on a daily basis.

April Lemley
Staff Trainint and Program Director

April coordinates all staff training, visiting the classrooms weekly and assisting staff in particular needs in working with the children. She joins Kidz World with years of experience conducting workshops and training for the Child Development Field nation wide. April leads the Kidz World Children's Chapel services and is also the Director for Grace Community Church Early Childhood Department overseeing 20+ staff, over 50 volunteers and several hundred children from birth to 4 years of age.

In addition, a growing team of highly qualified teachers, seven of whom are Director Qualified, support our Grace Kidz World leadership and administrative team. Several have obtained C.D.A. credentials and all are trained in first aid and CPR. Most importantly, we are privileged and honored to be partners with families in investing in the future of your children.
